Default Computer Logbooks & UPS?

I transferred all my old logbooks to Logbook Pro a few years ago and don't have immediate access to the old originals. Therefore, is it ok to have a computer-based logbook, printed out and bound Jeppesen-style, for a UPS interview?

In my interview, he wanted to see my original logbooks because I just had a printout. I had more military time so my printout from them was fine but for my civilian I could tell he wanted to see more then just a computer printout. They only gave me 1 or 2 days notice, so I didn't have time to update the logbook. I still got hired but I do remember that was a hiccup in the interview. Good luck.

I transferred all mine to electronic. I had it printed and bound. It was not an issue in the interview BUT, I did bring my originals. I can't say it would be an issue for certain, but I wouldn't show at the interview without them. There's too much riding on the line to chance it in my opinion.

Computer logbooks aren't a problem at Brown.

I never kept a civilian Logbook until after I had left active duty. I transferred all of my Mil time into Captains Log2000 when I started flying 121 and kept it updated regularly. When I was hired at AA I stopped keeping a logbook altogether. So when I interviewed at Brown my records were kind of well.....an abortion. I brought my AF form 5s, my computer logbook with monthly totals from AA and pay registers showing flight times and layover cities with me to the interview. All they looked at was the summary page from my AF flight records and the summary page from my computer log book.

I think all they are looking for is that the times and types match what you put down on the app.

Default Logbook Pro

I brought my bound/printed Logbook Pro log to the UPS interview. I did, however, bring my originals just in case. At the interview, as the Mgmt. pilot was perusing through my printed log, I asked if he wanted to see the originals. He just said,"...no, thanks...," and that was that. I don't think he would've cared either way.

Got hired...

I transfered my logbooks to the computer format back in 1998, and have kept it that way ever since. In 2005 when I interviewed at UPS I took a bound computerized logbook, and had no problems. Nobody ever said anything.

Thanks for the replies! Ill just stick with my Logbook Pro Jeppesen-style printed and bound format since I do not have access to the originals before my interview. And even if I did, all the original have are my private through commerical ratings and then I switched to computer format.

Just my two cents....All five of my logbooks were scrutinized for the entire 45 minutes as well as my college rtanscripts both undergrad/grad. I even was asked about specific grades in a class that I didn't do well. In addition, on my 2006 application there is a flight time summary page, I was asked questions from that too.

Best of Luck

Default Don't sweat it.

Interviewed twice...first time no one even touched my logbooks (literally).

Second time, I brought my computer logbook printout that was bound at the local office supply place. I had logged my last 3+ years worth of hours in one-month entries.

No problems.
