Default So--who's bidding what?

For you FDX bros....

USNFDX (the duck), Knightflyer, and a host of other guys....

Many of your are now "comfy" seniority on the MD11 F/O spot. Anyone gonna jump on 727 captain if its offered up?

What are anyone's thoughts on being leading edge of 777/757 stuff?

I'm finally 30% on the 727 F/O seat, which means DDHs through Indy or day flying out of MEM is available (at least for now). I go back on forth on what (if anything) I want to do next. Understanding anyone can change their mind, what do some of you 1999-2001 hires plan on doing?

I think alot of people want to bid the 757, but with absolutely no info at all about system form... it's a gamble.

Gotts to see the bid, if you know what I mean.....
12 Feb 01 hire, MD11 F/O
757 LS would be tempting though

IMHO--

More than a few MD 11 FOs are going to bid 757 Captain. But they aren't going to talk about it. They don't want the word to get out and cause an avalanche of more senior bubbas to bid it above them, possibly locking them out of it. Ditto for Airbus FO's. Perhaps more of them.....

757 CA will go relatively senior. 757 FO will go junior with 727 FE's and newhires.

Newhires will come onboard later this year with 727 FE, 727 FO and 757 FO as class assignments. I guess more MD11 ANC assignments at the beginning, again.

If they plan it well, fewer FE assignments will be available than usual or they will go near the end of the cycle.

I wonder how many over 60 DC10 FE's will come over to the 727?

I think the 75 right seat will be populated with guys speculating that much of the first year will be bought from them for training.

The left seat will go to widebody F/Os who weren't planning to bid captain on the slave ship, but will be willing to do it on the 75.

I'd say definetly NO to the 727. It's kinda like becoming a HUD cripple....I just can't go back.

757 does pique(thanks highflyer) my interest.

Oct 01 hire MD 10 F/O
Can usually(but not always) hold den-ind (nights)

Great free ring tones and screen savers!

Maybe too soon, but who's going to bid 777? Especially for the same money?

Also - a 757 CDG base, with no extra money? (If they were going to give a pay bump they might as well spend the cash on SIBA....)

I just put down $4K for memorial day reservations so I predict the bid will close in time for training to start around 21 may.
