UPS Jumpseat SDF-HNL
#2
If you book more than a day or so out, you should get at least 2 meals. If the capt allows it and there are no company J/S, you may get to experience the coffin. I would pick up one of those sleeping bag liners from REI and plan on using it either in the coffin or in the mini-business class seats. The coffin is pretty quiet, but earplugs might not be a bad idea. One tip. Try not to sit in the seat nearest the galley. The crew will have to step over you every time they want something from the fridge. Have a great time in HNL!

BE FOREWARNED, jumping on the UPS MD-11 can be hell! I froze for 5 hours traveling to Anchorage, the crew keeps the bunks' climate from toasting, but the rest of the jumpseaters end up freezing in their seats!!!!!! They said there is nothing they can do about it.

Just checked the schedules, and we have a flight departing on the 30th at 0210z (2110 local March 29) ORD - HNL, or at 1055z (0655 local) on the 30th JFK - HNL, or on the 31st from ORD-TOL-HNL depart ORD at 2020z (1520 local) and arrive HNL 0855z (2255 local)
I hope this helps!

GREAT info. I talked with your ops and got the schedules. The perfect situation is that there be a flight right between the ones listed. Anything else later on the 30th or earlier on the 31st?? I never even thought about Atlas. I'll keep that in mind in the future...
The UAL comment....juiced and oversold like every other airline out there. I'd rather get there before the wife than after. Looks like UPS for now. I'll bring a coat.
