What’s the increase or special pay for hazardous areas? How does the company determine hazardous (along the same lines as the military)?

Not sure exactly how they determine what is a hostile area, but I do know that they maintain a list and must provide the union with 14 days notice of changes.

Pay is 6 hrs of pay extra for each day in a hostile area.

Ex: 2 - 1in7 days: NO pay
10 - Days you flew a total of 60 hrs
4 days - reserve - Credit of 16 hours

Total credit for the month : 76 hours

This does not include any deadhead time to/from work or on the road which is paid at 1/2 block time nor any special pays for hostile areas.

ANY time worked on Scheduled days off is paid at time and half and is automatically above guarantee.

Why did the union allow ANY unpaid days on the road? That is ridiculous. If you are away from home you need to be paid. K4 is not a charity.

Is that another screw up by D.W. ? He fights to limit how long you can be on duty and make money, and then he approves unpaid days!

DW wanted them to vote down the TA over several issues.

The K4 TA was only possible with the help of DW's boss
Capt DB enthusiastically supported the agreement

And for the record DW endorsed it, voted for it and recommend its passage by the 1224 Executive Board

Good grief! Do you even fly for Atlas?

If you do, you need to pay better attention...

No, I work for Kalitta and since his original question was about Pay at Kalitta with a follow up about how Hostile areas are determined, my answer was based on Kalitta pay.

I'm sorry, who needs to pay attention? go back to coloring now please.
