We're in the pool for the reason, we don't really meet their qualifications. This is only going to make the swiw alot longer! What really makes this "heavy int'l" requirement suck is that I've got two buds that were heavy drivers and both were put in the 75. Typical non-pilot HR types making pilot decisions.

So, we know there are at least 13 now. Anyone else? I hope the 3 who have been swimming a year or more get called soon, for their sake and the uncertainty it places in the minds of all the newer poolies.
Any new rumors on classes in May?
Good luck to all.

Unless they were specifically assigned to the SDF domestic domicile, they will be flying intl regularly. MIA, ONT and SDFZ mix a lot of intl with some domestic, so the intl experience doesn't hurt.

14LEDs and Fish,
Thanks. I hope they will let me take one of the ANC MD-11s. I was clear about it being my first choice in the interview, and I politely reminded them again when they called with the contingent offer. However, I haven't heard of anyone getting one with my background (Fighters).
I heard from metro-mia. He also got called for the pee test, so make that minus 2 out of the pool this week.

Actually, I got the call on Monday asking my domicile preference for the 757 (class start next week). I expected as much, since HR is making a significant effort to fill the MD-11 slots with heavy/international experienced types. I was hoping and asking for an ANC MD-11, but I expected 757 based on my fighter only background. I'm just thankful to be starting...as my terminal leave runs out soon. I'll switch to an ANC aircraft/domicile as soon as they'll let me.
Good luck to all those applying, trying to apply, waiting for assessment e-mails, interview phone calls, pool letters, a drug test, or a class date!

I've heard the Feds didn't want a bunch of rookies up north to go with the rookie captains up north. The masses here don't want to go up north because of the commute. The answer brown came up with was to hire the experience. They'll let you go up there as soon as they can get away with it, I'm sure of that........
Enjoy the 757, I'm learning it now...

I was told by Phil D the first week of Feb that there were approximately 60 in the pool. This was at my interview off the top of his head. There have been 25-30 to start class since then. Not all went into the pool. Myself and at least one other in my class(probably a few more too) got class dates within 2 weeks of interviewing. I know they were doing interviews last week because I saw a few guys waiting in the lobby. Best I can do for now.
They have been giving that number since they started to interview in Nov 2004. If they know they will not give it out.
I hope they empty the pool FIRST, before they interview anymore.

It seems there are a number of folks wanting to know how deep the pool is for UPS (myself included). We can't determine the upper limit, but we can define the lower limit by chiming in. Add your pool letter date or month and we can perhaps build a better picture.
I'll start:
1) AKPlacer, Pool letter mid-Feb
