I did work there. Who did you confirm it with, a loadmaster? Your statement Is unsubstantiated.

Employees who work there, I worked there as well. Heard 2 of the 747s are hard down again, MDs down and parked all over the place… great company for people who live outside of the US. Wasn’t a good fit for me at all. Lots of great people there. Hope they figure out their maintenance and contract (lack of contract) issues. Very very high turn over rate.

Only a couple of anti-union folks have their panties in a twist about this issue. Why in the world would ALPA give a flying f about the distorted beliefs of non-members?

The new pilots are much smarter than the company thinks. The choice of who to believe concerning your future in aviation seems really easy. You can believe the world's largest pilot union, or you can believe some self-serving clown with a full military pension who'll retire in a couple of years. Tough call.

The owner's cucks have fallen silent! I guess everyone is busy hiring and training the foreign contract pilots.

There's a rumor that the South Curacao Aviation Brotherhood (SCAB) pilots haven't been paid by their contract company. What kind of pilot continues to work without being paid?

Widebodies parked during cargo peak? Maybe Ted will also have to "relocate to New York for family reasons."

Even FedEx is parking freighters right now. The pax carrier belly freight market is rebounding and therefore air cargo market is returning to normal.

WGA doesn't park freight aircraft due to no work. WGA parks them because they're broken.

FedEx carries their own freight.

WGA doesn't.

FedEx maintains their aircraft.

WGA does not.

There is silence because we still have jobs. But keep up with the insults. I’m sure the guys from Curaçao will be happy with your characterization.

I assume you still have access to the hive and know exactly what the status of the 747s is??? You are taking the word of an ex-employee.

Of course I am not taking the word of an ex-employee, or any employee. I said nothing of 747's.

READ.

Try not to assume.

We've done this before, listed each aircraft, and how long it's been sitting, some of which have been months. We've posted the air turnbacks, and can do again, if you like. The angry little bees that such postings stirred up stalked me to other web boards. Perhaps they'll begin to buzz again. Nothing new under the sun. The maintenance is no better, the job is no better. The magical ESOP that was to grace the masses was just as it turned out, a scam by Neff, a tax dodge, that wouldn't turn into a payday, but a liability. That Neff micromanages is well known; nothing moves or breathes at WGA without his input; his guilt is attached to all, most notably the maintenance, for which WGA is nearly legendary.

A recent post bashed employees at WGA as alcoholics and other derisions, suggesting that the pilot compliment is made up of those who are unemployable elsewhere. This is untrue; the vast majority are honorable, skilled, and experienced aviators, many of whom have been flying the same aircraft around the world for a lot of years, and I wouldn't hesitate to put my kids or grandkids with them. I know many of them; my comments are not about them, and whomever made those negative comments about them spoke in ignorance and stupidity. My comments regard primarily the maintenance of the aircraft at WGA. Maintaining airplanes is something I've done longer than most here have been pilots, and it's something I take quite seriously. It's no overstatement to say that WGA has some of the worst maintenance in the business. Neff knows it. Neff doesn't care; he's operated on a kick-the-can-down-the-road basis for a lot of years, at more companies than WGA. Fix it when it breaks, but just enough to push it a little farther down the road...even if that means shipping an unairworthy engine with a falsified tag on it to another country and ordering the mechanics to flush the large quantity of metal out of the filters again and again and keep running it, threatening them with their jobs if they wont' sign it off. Even that, which is, quite frankly, unforgivable. Inexcusable. Not accidental. From the top down. Neff attends daily meetings, and in those meetings, a rundown of each aircraft in the fleet is given; there is never an opportunity to say anything that happened was out of his sight, done in ignorance, or behind his back. Even at his age, when he sits on the WGA board as owner and board member, and on the ESOP, buying from himself and taking a loss, and using his employee's money to pay it back, to himself...he does everything, directs everything, has his hand in everything, and is responsible for the maintenance of his airplanes...which are typically grounded 50% of more around the world, at any given time.

Wanna see where the airplanes are, and how long they've been sitting? It's public, it's not hard to see, and we've done it here before.
