For those of you who set finances as top priority with the least amount of work hours, you definitely have better options. For those who may be interested to be a part of a fairly new, but rapidly growing and profitable airline, don’t hesitate to ask questions.
You're throwing these numbers out of "working your butt off"... Not realizing that most of us are doing the 267k with a normal schedule and a month of OT "just in case". And when we "work our butts off" (like in 2020) we end up grossing 385k and up. Frankly you shouldn't be making excuses for any company. WGA pay is low by industry norms and I hope you guys are able to quash that issue during your negotiations (first contracts tend to take a while). As for the rest of the operation is seems that it's being fairly competently run and expanded and it may indeed be an excellent time to get in for those who want to take a roll of the dice.

This is true. Seriously, congratulations, I know it’s a good income by US standards. But, by industry standards, that’s base pay for a wide body Captain. Of course their is purple and brown, where that kind of flying would bet you over 500k, but Atlas or K4 would have paid out over 350+ for that much work.

At the end of the day, do you feel you deserve more? Since you could walk on to most airlines with your experience? If so, demand it.

Shortest flight, too. Air turnbacks, Diversions. Rejected takeoffs. Lengthy rolling delays. panels awash in deferral stickers. The western global way.

As much funny it may seem, I had to see when operations see the amount of close calls…. How much longer can WGA keep the holes of the Swiss cheese from fully lining up?

Since you mention Atlas and K4, were these pay rates valid in year 7 of these companies’ existence or did it take them years and multiple contracts to get to the current salary level ? No one is arguing that WGA pay is lower than other ACMIs (adjustments have been recently made and hopefully more to come), comparing a fairly young company to an already established one is apples and oranges. Some choose to be on the road 18-20 days, fly 50-60 hours and be a part of a new, growing team, while some like 16 days and 90-100 hours with an already established company and a higher salary. In today’s aviation industry we all have choices.

Thank you for taking your time away from multiple other boards and contributing in such a positive and informative way. I am sure all the events described by you are exclusively limited to Western Global and no other airline has ever had air turnbacks, rejected takeoffs and definitely no diversions. Deferral stickers are unheard of in other places, this is definitely true. Mr. Burke, congrats to APC’s post of the day 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

What other boards would those be?
