Apr disputed pairings

Just looked at april's open time and noticed that all the VCP-SJU disputed trips were open in both seats. That's progress. Will be interesting to see how long that lasts tonight and if the same people pick them up as last month.

As far as requesting them on VTO's or make-up. Open time gets released later. Then we'll see how much progress has been made. Hopefully ALOT!

Past...

My guess is seconds. I hope I'm wrong. Or the ALA trips. Actually some of those have already gone to VTOs.

Fedex999999 03-29-2007 05:16 PM

They won't last... it isn't a coincidence that the pairing has SFS and ALA in it. If it was Shemya and Mumbai, then MAYBE it would go untouched. But I think it might be a little too tempting for some..... you guys get what I mean.

Had a jumpseater the other day.... told me he was flying in to do the Campinas trip. And then said it did have the SJU-MEM on the end of it. I mentioned it was a disputed pairing. He bragged it "fit so well in my schedule, what a great deal I got." While he screwed the rest of us...

boxhauler 03-29-2007 06:19 PM

915pm, two out of eight CPT trips gone and one out of four FO. The FO was guy hired in dec, The Capts are waaaay jr. We'll check in again. I'm guessing all four gone in one hour.

AerisArmis 03-29-2007 06:25 PM

I noticed a MD-11 Capt disputed pairing that had an F/O, Mark Provo, already assigned. Does this mean that Mark Provo asked for this disputed pairing on his VTO request or did Mark Provo not? And if Mark Provo did, does this mean that Mark Provo was uninformed or that maybe Mark Provo was informed but Mark Provo forgot or could it be that Mark Provo doesn't care or maybe Mark Provo does care but not much. I don't think Mark Provo is actively working against us but maybe Mark Provo is. If I ever meet Mark Provo, I'll ask Mark Provo just what Mark Provo was thinking.

boxhauler 03-29-2007 06:31 PM

930p, no changes. interesting. Of course scheduling could be backlogged processing trades. I'm sure that's it. We'll keep checking.

boxhauler 03-29-2007 06:35 PM

Spoke too soon. The same FO picked up another trip. That makes two for him on top of his FULL month of reserve. Does anybody know this guy? MD-11 pairing 564 on the 12th & 26th.

Huck 03-29-2007 06:47 PM

Four days off in April - that's hard core.

SNAFU 03-29-2007 07:03 PM

hard core *****!

What, we can't say w-h-o-r-e?

You can't be serious.

boxhauler 03-29-2007 07:04 PM

1000p, one more FO trip picked up. That makes 3 out four for FOs and only two out of 8 for capts. I wonder how many will be left when i wake up tomorrow. But I lost my 1 hour bet.

His Capt is an idiot! One of the USUAL suspects. He gets his herpes qual by going to rope school at the end of the month. He has a "girlfriend" in ALA! The dude went through CAP upgrade LESS than a yr ago. He BEGGED JL to let him go to upgrade rather get passover pay.

Notice the company approved that MU on the 26th, even though it abutts an R-day? Think they would have approved that for any other trip? I've had plenty turned down because it abutted an R day.

Also, his CAP on this trip is a non-member, repeat offender from March.

If he's only off that little, how much pay credit does that work out to?

6915 (RLG) + 1950 + 1950 = 10855

He probably has well over 100hrs of credit an no family life...

nightfreight 03-29-2007 07:27 PM

It's a good thing he didn't have to drop an R day to pick up his trips. I put in two drop requests at 900p sharp and got "insufficient reserves" both time. It sucks when you can't drop an R day at the beginning of the month. I haven't been used too much lately, but moving/dropping an R day is next impossible...

SNAFU 03-29-2007 07:33 PM

NF: What seat?

That is total BS....Somebody needs to raise the Flag on this!

Yep, a real beauty. Flew tons of draft when it was , shall we say, not fashionable. A real team player as long as everyone is pulling his team along. Saw his name scheduled for 727 S/O tng the day after he turns 60. What a dope! Can anybody tell me the advantage of turning 60 on 24 April and starting training as an oiler on the "Whistling Sh1thouse" the next day? Or....maybe he's just a plain vanilla dope?

capt_zman 03-29-2007 07:50 PM

MP is a good dude. Send him an email and I'm sure he'll reconsider what he's doing. Also, post the names of the others who picked these trips up (either via posting or via spreadhseet as before). I'm sure we can influence some of these guys who have no clue.

CaptainMark 03-29-2007 07:58 PM

be careful guys..i know a few guys who are in management that post on here...and they know some of you..i quizzed him on my buds and he new most of them....caution is advised when posting names and schedules...

Albief15 03-29-2007 08:02 PM

Dude mentioned by name probably didn't know it was disputed. I'm sure someone will point that out to him shortly.

Probably better ways to get the word out in a less public forum. RLA issues, common sense, and a hint of mutual support make sense.

I hate the DP issues too. We just need to make sure in an effort to fix them we don't create a more serious problem.

and, I'll bet even Kazakhstan, after guys like him!

Tuck 03-30-2007 04:06 PM

The FO picking up the VCP trips is a Mar05 hire - lives in Pensacola area. Young guy so I'm guessing he doesn't have any gripes with ALPA. He definitely needs a stern talking to - among other things.

Falconjet 03-30-2007 04:20 PM

The Boeing trips were holding pretty good until about midday. Sadly most of them have at least one or two of the seats filled.

Busboy 03-31-2007 08:10 AM

ALL APR DISPUTED PAIRINGS IN THE BUS HAVE BEEN PICKED UP BY THE MORON/MAGGOTS THAT INFEST OUR RANKS.

Those are the 2 choices in my mind...

a) Morons
b) Maggots

Although, I guess the maggots would be morons, as well.

We are clearly, our own worst enemy.

This is unsat from a guy that should be a good dude. Standby for the fellows to roll in.

Open Mind 04-01-2007 05:19 PM

The guys using this forum to identify other pilots are cowards and hypocrites!!! Identify yourself first with name and employee # , ensuring your calendar is open so everyone can look at your schedule and determine which part of the contract you've chosen to exploit for your own gain. Only then can we pass judgement as to your suitability to critize.

Here we go again.

Critize? Sorry, you're not suitable.

There's a difference between an Open mind and an Empty mind.

Flying a Disputed Pairing is not exploiting the contract. Quite the opposite is true, that being the Company is exploiting the employee. We have a mechanism, codified in the contract, whereby unsatisfactory pairings can be disputed, flown only by Reserves, and then be reconstructed to meet parameters of safety and sanity. Anyone who would deliberately ignore that process and fly the identified pairings for their own greed or convenience is simply selfish or ignorant.

Which are you?

.

Open Mind 04-01-2007 06:43 PM

Requiring disputed pairings be flown by reserves isn't in the contract or the Sig ltr of Agreement, its a suggestion by the MEC as a show of support for the SIG...a voluntary action!! Read the ltr of agreement and you will see that flying a disputed pairing doesn't screw anyone as it doesn't affect the review process so let's stop the misinformation. However that's all besides the point, that you are identifying individuals while remaining hidden...you are a coward!!! If we had any leadership at all... Union Officers would be declaring this action despicable without any need to "read between the lines"!!! In their absence... Suitability to critize this action only requires a seniority number.

Albief15 04-01-2007 06:47 PM

226 is open on all seats right now on the 727...except one SO on one pairing. He's new...probably an honest mistake. I'm sure someone will point that out to him.

Open mind...I don't hide. Many of the APC regulars are known quantities. Gee, Tony C....DC-10 captain...fairly junior...hmmmm. Albie...727 FO...has links to a website on the other forums...hmmmm. JollyF15 the former flex guy....wow...that's tough to figure out. Even Foxhunter...who often takes the "other" side of issues and is an APAAD guy has the cahones to not run and hide.

I don't fly disputed pairings. I try to be respectful to everyone here. But rolling in after 13 whole posts and calling us "cowards" is a bit silly, dontcha think?

Fly what you want--live how you choose. But don't accuse some of us of hiding...'cause we ain't....

Open Mind 04-01-2007 06:52 PM

Exploit...use or manipulate to one's advantage.

So, I take it you fly a lot of disputed pairings. You should hope nobody else flys them, so you can get them at draft.

If you're not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

Mr. "Open Mind", you sir ... are part of the problem. You do the rest of us a disservice when YOU fly disputed pairings.

Thanks for your help,

Mark
