Actually, I'm happily married. But thanks for the concern.

Anyway, back to the topic....You guys have been full of valuable information and I can't say thanks enough. It doesn't sound all that bad to me, although I'm sure there are "horror stories". I figure, I live once, why not try it!?! I've always wanted to fly the old fat bird so I better do it before they get rid of them. Although, I wont have the TT to even get an interview for another 2 -2.5 years. But please, keep the insight and stories coming in!! I am enjoying this thread!

LOL! My wife is all about it. She loves the idea of being married to a pilot: must be the travel benefits and the great salary (yeah right!). RedeyeAV8r, I take it your name speaks for itself....That you fly cargo? FedEx I assume?

My Alaska friend, before his salary was gutted by the arbritrator, used to say that his family knew him only as the "Human ATM."

Sorry about the non sequitur from the thread title.

LOL! I'm not laughing at your friends misfortune. I just think the human atm metaphor is hilarious.

LOL! I just love how people bend my posts on the forum. My wife is all about me flying for the airlines/cargo. But I know you were joking.

If you can take the ribbing, sarcasm and just plain joking around....THAT goes a long way to making a 15 day trip pass better!!!! as you can see some guys/gals are good natured and others are a bit down. everyone by the time they get to a B747 or any other heavy has "some story" behind them.....so you will have to understand how they can be good natured or just beaten down.

me? i shoulda listened to my mother and stayed in school!

LOL! It looks like a flight sim aircraft I downloaded off flightsim.com years ago when FS98 was around. In a nutshell, how do you like FedEx? From most pilots there, I hear it's great!
