May FedEx 727 4 Leg Pairings
Looking through open time after the feeding frenzy and behold ......... there are several new 4 leg pairings that start around midnight and go to about 0600. Can it get much worse? Granted I have only been here just over 8 years, but this is the nastiest forced march I have seen. Wonder how long it will take for someone to pick them up!!

That last leg to MEM will be a killer.

This is a classic example of why seniority is so valuable at FDX compared with the PAX carriers. There is a huge difference in pairings from top to bottom at FDX.
Jack or Orlando or whomever is next can rant all they want, but I am going to do all I can to avoid being in a seniority range where trips like this are typical.

those trips are for mothers day. We had the same ones on valentines. They are all just contingency pairings. Eight crews showed up that night and was told that there were no airplanes and we should just hang around until they could figure it out. We got the call to go at 6 am. We showed at 11:30 and sat there all night. Scheduling told me that they wanted B reserve crews to do the trips so they could hold on to the A reserves.

I hope I am misunderstanding something here...you had to just hang around until they figured it out? All night? Your contract allows that? At UPS the company has one hour from the time that we are notified of the cancellation of our original flight to reschedule us and that rescheduled flight must depart within three hours of the original flight's scheduled departure time or we're released from duty.
