Amazon is getting 15 more 737s

Except that this is Amazon and not DHL. Not sure but I think Amazon might have to purchase warrants in Mesa? If so could be great for the stock price. Buying opportunity?

Based on the 8-K filing that AAWW filed earlier this year when the 738’s were “revealed”, the warrants purchased by Amazon would place 20 738’s leased from GECAS to be operated by Southern Air. Initially, per the 8-K, five 738’s would be introduced and start flying in 2019 with the remaining 15 aircraft coming online under Southern’s operating certificate by 2021. No mention of Mesa operating said aircraft.

The Mesa thing is a dumb rumour that hit the spot for some people and thus got legs. Amazon certainly has a termination for convenience clause on like 90 days notice, so it can pull the a/c from Southern, but it is unlikely to do so IF Southern performs.
