just another proposal to help out the ole timers if/when the age 60 thing goes away. What about moving under 60 to 1 yr andover 60 to 3 months? Just a thought.

You should read the document. Actually, it's just the opposite. The proposal is to extend from 6 months to 1 year the valid period for First-Class Medical certificates for INDIVIDUALS UNDER AGE 40 ONLY.

Apparently the FAA sees an issue with increased age.

My rather old, semi-retired FAA doc is on the FAA advisory committee. When I started going to him years ago, he said, "We've been telling the FAA for years that you young guys don't need physicals twice a year."

It sounds like they finally convinced them.

Regards,

Mark

Hey Capt Mark,

Thanks for the info. Now all we need to do is put a cap on the price.

Regards,

Discrimination against 41 year olds based on an arbitrary figure pulled out of thin air by the FAA. Anyone want to join me in a law suit?

They've already been discriminating against at 41. You now get a yearly EKG, don't you.
