I would like some info as well. I am a 5000 hour ATP slightly older guy interested in DC9s. Any info would be welcome but here’s some stuff I’m thinking about:
-Profile shows 17-18 day schedule. Is that all one duty cycle or is it several duty periods?
-I live in Dallas. Is anything based there or do they airline out to the starting point?
-I know I would have to start as an FO. The pay info seems to lean toward 6 figures. Is that realistic?
-Does the interview include a sim and technical session? What kind of sim?

I worked at Ameristar for 4 years.
Typically you are home based and they airline you to cover an aircraft wherever it finished it's last mission.
You are immediately put into rest. After that you are on call. (No raps, no 117 on the cargo side). You may fly out in 10 hours or sit in the hotel for a week.
Mostly carry car parts in the US, Canada and Mexico. Sometimes trips to the Caribbean.
When you get a trip, generally you will fly empty to the pick up airport, then deliver to the destination, unload and go into rest unless they have a couple trips back to back.
You will load, strap/net and unload the aircraft yourselves. Usually both crew are captains with some exceptions.
17 days out are the norm. Lots of bonus days if you want them. Travel to and frome are on your off days.
Very flexible scheduling time of in advance if they have the coverage. I never had a problem geting certain days off.
It can be hard dirty work loading but not all days are 5 leg days with short overnights like I experienced in my regional days.
I usually recieved a $15,000 to $25,000 bonus check on Jan 15th of each year from all the iextra ncentive bonus days I flew the previous year. Laid back group. They let you fly safe.
