Not opposed per se.....management puts a 30k+ price tag on it. Quite a few ABX pilots (along with Atlas ,Southern even ATI that ride our JS) still just ride the system to work then sign in and get in the airplane and start working. What we are not willing to do is forgo a pay raise to get home basing. The company already buys us comm tickets on our 1st and last day of work for a hugh portion of our flying. We can get the homebasing and pay if we accept work rules, DC match, disability pay etc that ATI , Omni, Kalita have. Most are not interested. But I am guessing you knew all of this already?

Why...this is not the company's management style that has created this situation. Ride a co aircraft or another freight carrier headed to CVG. AbX has not canceled any flights and have added some extra ones. Amazon either. Drive if you are in the 8 to 10 hr range...alot of pilots do. Have been doing it for years. Or don't.

Exactly this.
One note - not a ton of trust between management and ABX pilots so management seems to be valuing this on a worst case basis (ie, cost if all pilots go to low cost of living area /do things to drive up cost for pilot convenience). So a big mismatch between mgmt value and pilot perceived value since plenty of ABX pilots show up to work without a big hassle.
There has been a bit of contract game playing already in that relationship both sides so I think extra caution there.
