The MD-11 has ONE piece of wood built into it. Any ideas?

I do believe it's the center gear door. Do I pass my checkride now?

I'm guessing the two balls in the the turn and slip indicators and the piece in the FE's dump panel.

KC-10's cargo floor is aluminum bonded to a balsa wood type core- same thing in an MD-11?

Since you asked:

Another True or False--

The total weight of a full fuel load on the 747-200/300 (classic) is more than a 707 at gross weight.

False; albiet not by much!

Fuel load on the classic: 324,581.5 pounds (based on standard density of 6.7 lbs./per gal)

I'm still trying to find out about the wood pieces. My next flight is Wednesday and I'll take a look at the fuel jettison panel and get back to ya on that one

Gross Weight:707-323B Advanced 336,000 pounds

Difference: 11,481.5 pounds or 1,704 gallons

Our later model 200's with Q power have 350,000 # (@6.7) fuel capacity and the models with 2 & 3 reserve tanks are just under 361,000 #.
