A disputed pairing is sort of like two ground attack sorties, followed by a FOL turn, followed by an ACM sortie, then an air refueling, and then one more range ride, followed by a RTB, lunch, and then do the whole thing again, in the afternoon. In other words, for whatever reason (we have a group of knowledgeable pilots who meet and go over each set of trips, looking for discrepancies in contractual abidances, as well as just very hard trips with little or not enough rest between flights) it's been decided that we, should not have to fly these trips. These trips are then "disputed", which is an agreement between the group previously stated and the Company. The only guys who are supposed to fly these trips are our guys on reserve. The rest of us are supposed to not pick these trips up. Hope this helps.
