[quote=FLMD11CAPT;175245]They are being optomized by being shorter. Used to be you would have this 12 day Asia tour w/a 72 hr L/O in Subic, HKG or NRT. Then somtime after your legal rest period during the 72, you would get tagged w/1 or 2 extra legs which would wash out within TAFB. I.E. more work, same pay.

A) Oops, "sorry skeds, I have a glass of scotch in my left hand as we speak". (8 hours until show)
B) Oops, "sorry skeds, I just got back from skuba diving". (24 hours off until show)
C) ring, ring, ring, ring, ring, ring, ring "we're sorry, the guest you are trying to reach is not available".
Of course, if they nail you with the revision as you're getting off the jet you will have to be more creative. "Sorry skeds, I was on the way back from the Christian Science Reading Room in Bario Baretto, when I was bitten by a black mamba!"

Yes we are being optimized big time. They are splitting up week long pairings, running them through memphis to avoid paying 1in7 in the field etc.

Hard time is hard time.

I don't really see how changing the the trip rig, makes any difference. It seems to me, that their goal would be hard time regardless of Rig.

I think they would be doing this even if the rig didn't change.

Well, this month's RLG on the Boeing is already at the contract min, so I don't think they can go anywhere but up.

That is my point, with the bigger spread between min and max paying lines RLG will stay there. It is another parameter that has helped the optimizer. Yes, I know the sig builds lines; but garbage in = garbage out.
