Apparently down to one airplane now. Flight aware is an interesting source of info. It's not looking too good for 21 but I honestly cannot say I am surprised by this. Go and Google the C.P. if you want to be shocked!

Jumpseated on 21Air a few weeks ago and they said one of the airplanes, the one with the crappy paint job, was going in for a C check and would be down for several weeks. Would also be repainted while in the C check.

N881YV is at Stambaugh in BQK for maintenance, since Monday. N999YV has been there since June 10. If the latter is just there for paint, then it should be done soon. If for a C check, figure another five or six weeks. If for a lighter check, then maybe out soon. Similar time frame for the one that just went in.

881 is the one that has basically cargojet paint without the titles and logos, in other words blue tail and white body. 999 is the one that still has the old Dynamic Airlines paint job.

It had it diverting over a week ago, then fly to BQK where it’s been sitting for three days. If the other airplane is in BQK that would mean they’re down to no airplanes which would not be good.

Stambaugh is a good shop; sounds like 881YV is in for a specific repair; maybe they can get her back in business soon. Sounds like another 6 weeks-ish for 999YV.
