Looked like they might have steered off the runway to avoid the end. What’s the end look like there?

Hard to know. They reported a hydraulic issue. Looks like the left mains were smoking pretty good, that could mean no anti-skid. If the rights blew they could have just lost directional control. But that also is an unfair deduction without all the facts.

Yes, they took off, lost the left hydraulic system, went in holding and came back and landed.

On another website they reported that there was still 1000 meters (3000 ft) was still remaining.

They ended up in the turnaround....no NWS with left hyd out. The end is a close perimeter fence and go thru that onto the road. It's pretty tight on the end before you are on the road.

Shouldn’t the right system have powered the PTU to provide “Slats, Flaps, Gear, and Steer”?

So either the PTU also failed or the left system had lost all of the reserve fluid below the standpipe, ie a massive leak in or to/from one of those 4 systems.
