Default ABX vs AmeriJet

I was looking at both. The number - pay, days on and days off, not home-based - all seem similar. I have read all of the posts on both. Anybody care to chime in on why you would choose one over the other. (not asking about Atlas or Kalitta or why you would prefer them).

For every reason. Would you mind going into detail on some of these reasons - say work rules, for example. Feel free to PM me.

Never heard anything positive about AJT and I have been watching them for over 35 years!

Amerijet is a good place to be but contract negotiations have stopped and it’s up to you if you want to fly a 767 for less than what a flight instructor makes.

I'm confused, are you asking ABX vs AmeriJet or ABX vs ATI.

AmeriJet pay, benefits, work rules and retirement are not comparable to ABX.

Lets just take pay at year 3 (current upgrade time at ABX)

AmeriJet - FO - $104 ($81,120), CAPT - $143 (111,540)

ABX - FO - $148 ($115,400yr), CAPT - $218 ($170,040)

Retirement

AmeriJet - $.50 match up to 4%

no Defined Benefit or Contribution

ABX - $1 match up to 3.5%

5% Defined Contribution

Really, just the tip of the iceberg...unless you live in Miami, I can't see any reason you'd want to compare these two.

I jumpseated on ABX not too long ago and I gathered that compared to other ACMI’s, they hit it out of the park with their soft pay rules.
