I'm the guy FedEx would like to send overseas; single, no kids, no property to speak of, etc.

In order for me to even consider going over as a narrowbody FO (in an effort to preserve seniority) I would need a larger housing allowance, relocation assistance, medical assistance, transportation allowance, income tax offset, and some kind of salary override just for putting myself out for the company's sake. Living in Paris might sound good to some, but European living is expensive and complicated.

Most of this will never happen, which is good news for me since I really don't want another training cycle anyway.

Oh, and any mention of SVT is an automatic 'no' vote as far as I'm concerned. The company already has too much control over my life IMHO.

Since this LOA became available I am reminded constantly of that old adage "an upgrade is not a raise."

Move: all my household goods, over and back. Buy my house in US.
Education: Full tuition for all the kids to attend a private achool.
SVT: Not in the LOA.
COLA: $6,000 per month for me plus $3,000 per month for each dependent, adjusted semi-annually for changes in value of dollar against Euro/HKD.
Ground transportation: provided from my home to and from work. and for kids to and from private school.
Tax equalization: Don't know enough to know what to recommend.
Pay protection: Some form of passover pay so that my WB FO pay does not drop in order to move to a NB FO position.

Wow, sounds great but what color is your sky when you wake up in the morning?

I have to agree. It is an insult that FedEx expects a Captain to get the same as a F/O. How do you rent a Captains apartment on a F/O housing allowance?

FH is smiling and winking because he's pretty confident that no SOs will be SVTed...
