Default Does Ameriflight hire foreign nationals?

I know a pilot that flys for a Honduran regional. He is Honduran with Honduran licenses. Does Ameriflight or any other US airlines hire foreign pilots? How would on go about accomplishing this?

Green Card is the only option…
I think Cape Air and Amerijet have a sponsorship program…

Allegiant tried to get Chilean and Singaporean pilots on an H1B, don’t know how that ended.
Australians can apply for the E-3 visa.
Everyone else would need greencard already.
I didn’t think the profession would qualify for anything else.
Let me return the question, can a US citizen fly in Honduras?
Most of South America requires native Spanish speakers and passports.
The very same question was answered 3 months ago.
Marry him already…..
smh

Yes they do all the time through eaglejet. you pay to fly.

edit: if an american wanted to fly in hounduras he needs to speak english/spanish. so a hondurean would need to speak english (they speak our local and native language, even though the usa does NOT have a local language requirement of speaking english, it's not their official language), which they qualify for. so thats a bad argument my friend.

I speak Spanish well enough to work in a kitchen but I’m not a native Spanish speaker.
Also not a Central/South American passport holder.

So let’s just stick with the FAA requirements to read, speak and understand the English language…..and have a green card or better.
Your bad, not mine.
I think the original question is very naive and borderline ignorant.
Hence my mirroring.

That program ended many many years ago. They haven't had pay to fliers for at least 4 years if not more.

ATI is promising green cards to those nationals. The legality is... very suspect at best, but it's a path to the US.

i can see that. and he does speak english if he flies in honduras. probably better than most american pilots. and he may not pitch a perfectly fine 777 off the cost of maui into the pacific.
