Yeah, I know that they're a cargo operation but for the sake of classification aren't they considered a major airline?

No offense but no way. The 7 oh is known for being first and foremost, the first successful jet airliner....not famous for having a big ol' pipe sticking out of its arse.

No Offense, but the KC-135 predates the 707. Having Flown the 135 and the E-6, one of the last 707's built, I can attest they made vast improvements in the 40 years the line was open.

yes but, the Boeing 367-80 predates the 135. the 80 was the basis for both the 707 and 135. nevertheless, this thread is about the 7 series and the 707 most certainly belongs in the front of that line...certainly more so than the 135
