Default Capital Cargo

Anybody have current info or projected hiring for Capital Cargo?
I tried a search but came up empty.
Are they using SO's or PFE's? Or both?
Thanks.

Try this. http://airlinepilotcentral.com/airli...o/capital.html I know for a fact that they use PFE's so you're in luck. Take the job if it's offered to you. Flying the 727 will be one hell of an experience!

Do you have any friends that work there? I did a search on the forum and came up empty except for the link you provided.
I have 1500 hours on the 727 panel.

Worked there.

Good company, typical ACMI maintanance. Late model 727-200's all RVSM, GPS equipped. Most airplanes are -15 powered.

16 on / 16 off schedule. If junior you may be junior manned into back to back 16 day lines. Generally you got a month off afterwards. But not always.

Home basing.

Recently became an ALPA carrier and very goosdunion leadership at this time.

2 757's have been purchased and will enter conversion this year to fly DHL routes out of MIA.

Only reason I left was the schedule and night flying was taking it's toll. I would still reccomend it as a place to work as long as you understand ACMI freight and what you're getting into.

Good Luck.

Who can I call and speak with? I can't past the receptionist who doesn't seem to be available.
I just resigned from Southern Air over scheduling.I lasted only 6 months on the line there. Good people, but lousy scheduling practices in place. I understand being junior!
Shoot me a PM if you get half a chance.
Any upgrade opportunities for a PFE there? Just curious.
TIA,

Hey 74.....worked there for several years...........started as a PFE and left a captain.......would have stand but got tired of the hub sitting and "crew bonding" every nite. wasn't a bad place the work while I was there. Wasn't ALPA back in those days though.....Just an inhouse association. Talked to a couple of my buds that still work there and they say things are still bought the same. The DO seems like a pretty decent guy (was CP when I left). Anyway good luck to ya

742,
Who are you with now? I think you get that enjoyable crew bonding wherever you work. I know what you mean.
Back in the mid 80's I sat in the infamous trailer in SDF and had lots of bonding too. I think it's part of the human condition.
Got the contact info btw, thanks very much. Right now I'm enjoying the time off. My wife not so much, she's ready for me to go back to work.
I guess I'm a former 74plb now....

Just for info: Connie is hiring and I think it will continue for awhile. The new t/a will probably pass and put startiing pay at 57/hr for fo/fe. No s/o scale. I wouldd say scheduling is better than SA, but never worked there just from what I hear.

Default Connie hiring

I interviewed at Connie in Feb, At that point I didn't realize they had a SO only payscale. When I found that out I withdrew my application.
I have since re-applied and hope to hear something soon. I talked with the Safety director the other day. (HN)
I saw one of the guys that interviewed on the same day with me in LGG on my last trip at Southern. He seems to enjoy it and said he enjoyed the training. He is good friends with a new FO @SAI. It's definitely a small world in the non-scheds...
I know a few guys at Connie hopefully that will get me another shot at it.
