Stupid question maybe but are we allowed to carry cameras? I've seen a bunch of signs all over the place that cameras are not allowed but then I've seen lots of guys/gals taking pictures - both line and mgmt. I wasn't planning on taking ramp pictures or anything like that but would love to take some in-flight shots and pictures of other aircraft every now and then. So what's the real answer?

The official rule is no cameras. We don't need no steenkin' rules! I always have mine with me as do so many others. I think officially there is a no cell phone rule to although pilots may be exempt from that one

While you're at Sticky Fingers waiting for your girlfriend, take out your FOM, and you'll see ..."no cameras, recording devices or using your cell phone to take pictures"...but at Sticky Fingers, take all the pictures you want.

I have pictures from Sticky Fingers...Yes.
Can I share them on this family-oriented site..No
And remember, if you bring your ID to Sticky Fingers, they give you a discount of your bar tab...it's true
We saw the -400 here in H.K the other day. I guess the sextant worked.
