"Bat"

"Bat".....that's Cantonese for "NO". I looked it up in an online dictionary. Interesting point was that there was no translation for the word "vote" in Cantonese....maybe because it is such a foreign concept.:D

U2FDX 07-23-2007 01:05 PM

What is the super secret way(or easiest for that matter) to find out your vin and pin.

FLGATOR 07-23-2007 01:10 PM

After a frustrating 4 hours online and on the phone with ALPA finally got a vin to vote NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NO COLA NO GOA!!!!!

cma2407 07-23-2007 01:46 PM

NO here. $35 Billion + and counting, all-time record profits, and we're supposed to do concessions?

Nope.

Just finished the process of getting the VIN/PIN and then voting. Total time spent, maybe 5 minutes. It felt GOOD.:D:D

Airbusdriver 07-23-2007 03:13 PM

Just finished voting no from MXP using Skype.com.

MAWK90 07-23-2007 03:58 PM

Finished voting "no" earlier today. I did feel good to put my feelings into a digital NO FREAKIN WAY!

JollyF15 07-23-2007 04:15 PM

Finally got er done

Wow --- that was semi painful this morning, but my 16 digit super secret code arrived in the mail this afternoon and I was able to cast my NO vote. It was painful (wasted 30 minutes this morning trying to get my super secret midnight decoder ring on the APLA website), but it feels good to have my vote counted.

I wonder if the same loud "20 or so guys the website" are or are not indicative of the real picture. Pass or fail, the weeks after the vote will be interesting.

"Bat" is not Cantonese for "No." What online dictionary did you use? :)

The words for "No" and "Vote" are actually two words each. I don't know how to write out here the way they are pronounced. Guess you'll have to call me and I'll whisper them into your ear. ;)

I had a guy on the crew bus get irate with me when I tried to explain to him how the STV thing was not equal to siba, I also asked him to vote no for me(since he was SO senior), after I got made my point. Hopefully he voted no, or just didn't vote especially with this new registration BS. Keep spreading the word for guys to vote NO!

after careful evaluation and attending the last meeting in g-town, i decided to vote "no"...i just did not like the LOA or DWs explanations. i also have blamed the union from day 1 that their communication on this matter was pi$$poor...

Help

NEED HELP. So I go through the TOP SECRET activation process to get my super secret voting VIN and PIN and then shread the paper the 16 digit pre-code came on (I really think it would be easier to get an access code to Fort Knox). I then go to the FDX ALPA website to find a link to the voting website and... NADA! Nothing! No link to the voting website and no mention of the process. I even went to the election committee page and nothing. So can someone point me to the website where I can use all my super secret numbers to cast my big NO vote? Thanks.

I was just kidding. I haven't voted yet. There were just some guys wanting to hear someone had voted yes so I thought I'd oblige them. However I am rethinking my vote now.
