Thanks for the info.
So why hire specifically for Atlanta if it's only a 'gateway'? I don't quite understand that. But I assumed if you are Atlanta 'based' then you're not considered a floater. Or could one also be a 'floater' out of Atlanta? What's the practical difference since either way you're gone for 5 days?

Atlanta has 0 airframes. It’s a Strategic location to be able to get pilots to our aircraft in the least amount of time. If you live in Atlanta, you are an Atlanta “based” floater. “Based” doesn’t mean you’re not a floater. It only means that’s your domicile. Hope this helps.

You couldn’t be more wrong. No pressure to fly. I have never once been asked to do something I felt was unsafe or against regs. Also, our aircraft are extremely well maintained. These are FedEx owned aircraft, and FedEx wants their planes well maintained so they pay for that too. As for basing, we have shifted to home basing so if you want to be based in BNA? Sure. why not? we have guys based in some crazy obscure places. They would love nothing more than to have people in larger cities like BNA. Sounds like you’re pretty bitter about something, but theirs no need to make false accusations.

Yeah the Company has some problems (management) but the schedules are generally very good, pay is improving, and maintenance is top notch. ATR’s have a lot of electrical issues but that’s just part of operating airplanes that were used up when they were purchased. It’s a good place to go if you’re suited for the job. If you expect crew meals and red carpets, not so much.

Great bunch of people affiliated with MAC. They truly drained the swamp a few years back when they tossed out the form VP of Ops and VP of Mx. The Director of Safety, if he’s still on board (KT) a top notch chap.
All the best to the MAC people.
