New Aircraft

APC reports that the last "production" A300 has been delivered. Are you guys still getting used ones? And does anybody know the delivery schedule for the rest of the year. Also how many of the 75's are going to be in addition to rather than a replacement for the 72's?

Not sure about the Bus schedule. Sched to get the first revenue 757 in Feb 08. Then one per month starting in Apr 08 till about the following summer.
That's what the arrival sched had last time I looked.

We got the last new A-300 ever built by Airbus. I'm sure the company is looking for used A-300 and A-310 somewhere in the market. As for the 757, it will probably be a replacement, one for one, for the 727. I have a feeling we'll keep the 72 around for addition lift and for all those X pairings and airport standbys.

I have been told on numerous occasions that Fedex has a list of every A300/310 on earth, with a price that they are willing to pay for that particular tail #. When they come available at that price, we buy it.

I had a list of all of them too. I can't find it right now. Of course, I haven't set a price yet. Several of the planes I mentioned will continue to fly with the previous airline until we get a conversion slot, but they are listed as owned by us.

Is it that great of an airplane or just perfect for freight?

Seriously, it is known that we will, as currently scheduled, be short of lift based on projections for 2009. It certainly would be nice to see more 777's scheduled to come.
