It is the crewmember’s responsibility to be properly rested for each phase of the trip. However, if circumstances prevent this, no FedEx crewmember should feel pressured to fly when not properly rested. A crewmember who is fatigued should immediately notify Crew Scheduling if unable to complete a trip.

Fatigue in the Field
If due to the schedule, weather, maintenance, and other factors beyond our control, you are fatigued to the point that, “in your professional judgement you cannot continue with a pairing/trip”, than make the call. However, it is hard to justify (although I’m willing to listen) a FAT call following the first leg, of the first pairing or flight, of a sequence.
