Any latest and greatest from Atlas? Hiring projections, QOL, etc. Thanks.

No more classes this year. Possibly a class in the spring. Not really much news to tell.

Have a good one.

I don't know about QOL as I'm on the Polar side of things but the CEO is saying they want to park three classics next year. They're not sure if this will trigger furloughs for pilots but Flight Engineer is likely. This is an excerpt from a Chief Pilot weekly update.

Is it better at the Polar side, or the Atlas side? I had a friend of a friend (blah, blah, blah) tell me that working at Polar was better than being at Atlas - treated better; better pay; better schedules; etc

Any words of wisdom?

The bottom line is no words of wisdom. Hourly pay is not better but there are ways to make money. Too much to re-explain. You can do a search and find out most of this stuff.

I'm a new hire at Atlas and they treat you alright, it just depends on your out look and what your use to. Polar is running a new hire class through right now. Last word no new hirring for either company till next year. I would go to who ever hires you first, you'll never have a choice any way. In the end (maybe in 30 years or so) they will have the same contract and list any way.

How did the STN agreement end up working out? Is it identical to having gateway?

Just curious as an ex-Atlas, ex-STN based nomad.

Hi!

My buddy said you are now airlined to STN from your home by Atlas, and then they airline you again from STN to your plane.

He said in contract negotiations they are trying to get straight home basing, and a 14/14 schedule. Hiring probably next Spring.
