True story. Iris Peterson retired earlier this year. She started at UAL in 1946!!!! 60 years on the job! She was 85 years old and number 1 on the FA seniority list when she left. Unbelievable.

Fef the NWA oldies. Fred the FE is 71 not 72 and the 82 yr old FA is a guy.....

I think I saw the FA the other day when I was JS'ing on a DC-9 out of DTW.

I dont think they actually preflight anymore... what do they care, the life insurance would pay pretty good.

Unless he quit within the last year, ATA has one that's 79 or 80. I first flew with him when he was a youngster, just 75.

Is he the one who died in Narita during the preflight? I believe he had a heart attack and they found him on the ground under the main gear wheel well - he was holding his flashlight in his hand. This happened some 10 years ago? Not sure if the story is true but I heard it from a former United pilot.

How about the oldest flight instructor? I’ve actually had the pleasure to fly with Mama Bird. Pretty neat lady!
