How can you have over 30 years of real world experience in the field when you're only 48? Sorry, but I wouldn't count Academy time as real anything... You don't even have to do your own laundry for pete's sake!!

Oh, and given that he's a squid, the mess is extra sticky!! Squish squish!!

Oh yeah, and Beat Navy!! (Maybe this year?? Please?? I'm going to have to take out a 5th mortgage to pay off my bets from previous years' defeats)

TSD

P.S. I didn't mean to imply that Knightflyer said he had 30 years experience, that was a quote from the article he posted.

Went to school with him and was in the same Company. He is a great guy. Was at the top of his class as well as a very good Lacrosse player. He should be a plus for pilots.

Exclamation

Back on thread, does anyone from United know this guy?? I have a deep suspicion of anyone GWB puts in any position of power. I'd be more interested what he did after his military service.

As opposed to...........those WJC put in power? Thieves, smugglers and Classified Document destroyers? I believe the nominee in question worked as a litigator for a prominent law firm, then served in positions leading up to Deputy Administraror of the FAA (per the article). Not a bad resume taken in whole......lots of aviation experience, military work ethic, and actual experience within the agency he is assuming.....doesn't sound like a political cherry pick appointment to me........but I am just an old squid (squish, squish) after all.

He's been Blakely's second in command for quite a while. One of the reasons that the ATC guys are against this nomination.

Check out the thread about the same thing over on the Hangar Talk section. At least one ATC guy has chimed in over there.
