CIC make-up

I have a question about CIC make-up for you experts. I want to do 12 hours of CIC make up this month and i input trips for the 27th and 28th only. If those trips are not available for me will scheduling still give me 12 hours and put them where ever they want? i.e 24-26 dec. Getting scheduled over x-mas is my fear. I'm wondering if it is worth doing make-up this month if they can do that. thanks!

My experience is you only get what you ask for.

Yep,

On the CIC input window you input your choices on seperate lines. If any trip on that line is unavailable they move to the next line. If none of your lines work they pass you by.

Put in more choices, but put in only the trips you are willing to fly.

They will not assign you trips unless you ask for them. If they are all taken then the time goes into your make-up bank. That's why it says trip specific.

In the spirit of what FDXLAG is talking about, and if you want to fly both the 26th and 27th or will settle for either one of them if both aren't available, you need to make three entries:

1. trip X/26DEC, Trip Y/27DEC
2. trip X/26DEC
3. trip Y/27Dec

That way you can get both if available or one or the other if one is taken. Good luck.
