Happy Thanksgiving y'all! I'm home and have absolutely no idea how a newbie as myself managed to get the Thanksgiving off – I’ll be paying soon though - spending Christmas in cozy Anchorage (Narita next day) then I'll celebrate my midlife-crisis bday and the New Year in Penang! Yeehaw!

Why am I checking the board? Well, my APC Anonymous meeting was cancelled so here I am…

I am currently at SEATAC waiting for the 6am to ANC. Its 0200L and no one here its actully kinda nice. This is what you do if your on probation and need to get to work. For those that are commuteing UPS offers a direct flight from BFI to ANC during peak that leaves at 0730L, which is kinda nice but don't show up prior to 0500L cause, no one is there. I spent 30 dollars on a cab ride thinking that I would be able to find a corner a crash out for a little while but no joy. Got back in that same cab and came back to SEATAC where its warm and you get free CNN and WIFI.

L'il I will be in PVG in a day so if your still around I owe you a beer! Bar Rouge and Attica on Saturday night should be fun!

HKG, with a peek at Wake on the way here.

Going to see if I can find a restaurant where I can teach the waiters to sing "Fa-ra-ra-ra-ra" for the next big holiday.

See you on the jumpseat

Rainy night in ICN. Skype call home, followed by fried chicken and a couple of beers at the West Rock. Overall, not too shabby. Happy Thanksgiving and God bless us all -- especially those who are "over there" in harms way.

funny... I was in HKG when I wrote the post... but now I'm in Dubai. Talked with the family via Skype. It's great to have this new technology. I noticed they had a Christmas tree in the hotel, and I saw lots of Christmas stuff in HKG. Things have changed from a few years ago. Maybe xmas won't be so bad!

Just chillin' in 'da hood here in Seoul.

Skyped home to Anchorage where my wife had a great dinner with our two ex-pat neighbors - I guess we aren't really ex-pats, but living in Anchorage kinda has that feel sometimes.

I had a burger here at the Hilton, and some horrible draft beer that tasted like formaldehyde.
