All civilian. Most of his time is in 737s for a charter airline. 10,000 hours or so. No legacy or LCC experience.

It seems pretty incredible that we are no longer taking applications, and haven't had a new hire class in awhile (I think), and we are hearing that hiring "might" not happen next year yet we are still interviewing. Things that make you go hmmh. Do any of you guys have a date when the last class showed up this year, or are we still bringing folks on?

Guys RECS MATTER!!!! when you interview part of your package has all your recs and even pictures of the guy who rec'ed you. Therefore if your lucky enough to get an interview without a rec...load up on them prior to the actual interview. Why anyone would think that a rec could be bad..is beyond me. Of course if you are a rec'er is a problem child with the company, perhaps a rec could harm your chances. I know this because I've helped alot of guys get hired, plus one day I went into HR to find my buddy who was interviewing that day. The HR guy said "Hi ----(my Name)" I just got done interviewing-------" I asked how did you know my name? and He said I saw your rec and picture in his package!!!
Good Luck,
Vito

There was a Nov 5, Oct 15, and I think Oct 1 class. Those were the last 3 this year. I dont think any additional classes are planned right now...

Hopefully I will hear something positive soon.

Low and slow,
You are fine. Don't need everyone to write you one, especially folks who will not spend the 1-2 hours necessary to do it well. The quality of the LOR (done completely online) is important. Also, "bad' apples don't help. Most bad 'apples' know who they are and will tell you up front that an LOR from them is probably best avoided. They truly are few. In any case, in this case I described, our friend had zero LOR's. That is what killed him. You had some, you are fine. Good Luck!

I believe the LOR is one of the 8 or so total points in the system. Doesn't matter if it's one LOR or 20. Too tight to give away a point.

TT,
Thanks for the information. By chance did any of those last three classes have other than ANC slots in them?
Thanks in advance,
Biff

The last two were all ANC. The previous classes were mostly ANC with a few SDF slots sprinkled in here and there
