How long was it between interview and the letter showing up?
Does the letter or your online application say what equipment they have in mind for you?

It depends, its can range from a week to two months, from what I have read. The average time is four weeks. The pool letter does not state equipment you won't know that piece of the puzzle until you show up for class on the first day.

3 weeks from the interview to the letter. No indication on which equipment I would be place against. Best guess is AK...which is fine by me. We use to live in Eagle River and are excited about moving back.

Got the letter the pool yesterday myself. All told it took just over four weeks from interview to letters arrival.

So . . . how deep is the pool? Anyone know how long I can expect to wait for a date? Per the interview, I was told it would be the MD or 744 to ANC, we'll see . . .

Congratulations...I have no ideal how deep the pool is but just as important will be the impact to pilot staffing based upon the age 65 legislation and recapitalization on the 727 and 747. Anyhow, enjoy the swim.

My letter arrived the 2 days after interview. You online application will update when you get assigned a class.

i.e. It will say:

First Officer: Anchorage Flight Support then ANC address

(Something along those lines)


Age 65 just tossed a wrench into everything. You guys in pool may be there for a while. The Jan/Mar displacement bid and all the retraining going on.
With that being said, you may go to class next week...
