While we are on the subject, is there any reason why S/O's have to trip trade at 2400 central time? Is this something that we negotiated?

I realize that while it may be convenient for those hub turning, it keeps you from getting a few hours sleep on a turn, and if you do happen to not be working you are screwing up your clock again in the middle of your days off.

Wouldn't something like 1200 central be better for everyone? The hub turners and the AM folks can clock a few hours rest in the morning and the PM out-and-back crowd doesn't report for a few hours.

I was up until 3:30 AM trying to massage the ol' schedule on my days off; thankfully I was moderately successful.

Upgrading is easier said than done these days unless you're willing to go to the FDA's, and unfortunately for the folks way down on the totem pole it will remain that way for a while.

Wanna switch seats?

The company has no problem keeping the optimizer/sodomizer/brutalizer running at peak efficiency but can't get our trip trades going. Merry Xmas and a sign of things to come!!!

Nah, Been there, done that.

I do understand. They had to space it out since all the servers, at the time, were going TU with all the trade requests from all seats at the same time. Most of the Capts need to get tucked into bed before 10pm so I guess that's how they spread it out. Hopefully, they'll get the system up and running. It really sucks that this happened for the Dec bid month trip trade frenzy. I hope you get the trades you want.

Due to contract implementation issues all trip trade requests are
temporarily suspended. It is not known at this time how long the trip
trade system will be inactive. There will be a second FCIF informing you
when the system returns to active processing of your requests. Trip trade
requests already entered into the system are being held in the order they
were received and will be processed when the system returns to normal
operation. Please do not submit duplicate trip trade requests. We are
sorry for the inconvenience but have no other option at this point.
Any idea what the "contract implementation issues" are? It said trip trade requests were suspended. I take that as it's down because they took them down or aren't doing them on purpose. I understand some guys got stuff approved (albeit a long wait).

FCIF just out. Trip trades are back to normal. They have 3500 to get through but at least it's up.

What we need is a "Cost Neutral" solution
