FedEx Meeting with ALPA on Dec 6th?

Some memorable quotes by MaydayMark:
"I'm disappointed that a few diaper wearing, drooling, possibly alzheimers impaired old guys who weren't responsible enough to plan for age 60 retirement..."
And most recently:
"Hope you saved some money to fight all the younger pilots you geriatric guys ****ed off. "
Is this a personal thing between him and FH or is he this classy all the time? Something tells me he would be an easy guy to not like. Something else tells me he wouldn't care.

George,
You are the reason animals eat their young.
FYI ... My brother is an aviation attorney. I intend to file a lawsuit claiming that pilots on disability are NOT "Required flightcrew members." In fact, in as much as they are hypothetically (they wouldn't fake some sort of shoulder injury, would they?) injured, they are unable to hold an FAA medical and thus legally COULDN'T POSSIBLY expect to be considered "currently employed flightdeck members!!! Good luck to you and your APAAD buddies with that one. Hope you saved some money to fight all the younger pilots you geriatric guys ****ed off.
The fight isn't over yet ... we might be able to tie this up in court for many, many years. Certainly long enough to make certain that all of today's 60 year olds are AT LEAST 65.

A lot of both. While I've never met FH in person, I know he raises the hair on a lot of guys necks. That being said, MM is always a "class act." Read some of his posts, on just about any topic, and you will get an idea of what kind of guy he is. Thank god we are both in the left seat, as I will probably never have to fly with him.

FAR 61.3
"(c) Medical certificate. (1) Except as provided for in paragraph (c)(2) of this section, a person may not act as pilot in command or in any other capacity as a required pilot flight crewmember of an aircraft, under a certificate issued to that person under this part, unless that person has a current and appropriate medical certificate that has been issued under part 67 of this chapter, or other documentation acceptable to the Administrator, which is in that person's physical possession or readily accessible in the aircraft."
No medical--you are not a required pilot flight crewmember! In case you are wondering (c)(2) talks about student pilots, balloons, and sport pilots.

God I hope you're right. If not fully correct, even just a little bit. Enough to stall it for 6 months to a year is better than this "Hey, it starts today" attitude I've been hearing.
Hopefully there is some legit effort, ie lawsuits, put forth by our those with our point of view.
If you need donations for the attorneys, please man, start asking. There needs to be money behind this effort for it to accomplish anything at all. How do you think the other guys did it so quick...
