If you are flying DPs then yes, you do answer to Ranger. You also answer to the SIG and every other crewmember who you are hosing by doing what benefits you to the detriment of the entire crew force.

Sorry, but this is our profession, not a popularity contest. Pilots don't answer to you, ranger or any union officer. Pilots comply with the contract and make the choices allowed within the contract. If you don't like the choices work to change the document. Its past my bedtime... Goodnight!!!

A whole lotta luck we will have changing the document for the better when independent contractors flying DPs directly undermine any effort to effect such changes.

There are an infinite number of choices to make out there in life. Bad choices aren't any better just by virtue of their existence.

DP flyers suck eggs.

Yes, and you are making it more difficult to improve our profession by working against the SIG. If guys like you didn't fly DPs maybe we could get some more leverage building the lines in the next contract.

It is this willful ignorance of how your actions affect everyone else that allows the company to string us along on so many issues.

I thought she'd been cured? That was the sheila up in Anchorage that was doing it for a living or am I misinformed? Don't understand the self serving "I'm getting mine" thought process that drives these people.

Is open mind anc or mem? not much info in the profile... guess that way they can blast away on the board without accountability.

anyone get any info on why the guy picked up the #17 on 21 jan?

Pretty sure open mind is a MEM Capt. I have ever seen him on a DP if it is who I think it is. He just holds a different opinion on the DP process.

I agree on some points. If we are going to dispute CDG-STN-MEM lets dispute it for the real reason, improper use of a RFO. The company will never roll over on this paring design. If we wanted this to stop, we should have fixed it in the last contract because we were disputing the same type of trip before the contract.

So in your judgement pilots shouldn't answer to anyone other than themselves? Not to their fellow pilots collectively? Flying DPs is certainly within the contract, but that being said it is also a disservice to your fellow pilots who are working hard to safeguard our quality of life (SIG) and those flying the line who might end up having to fly one of those cr&ppy trips.

Perhaps you should do like your screen name implies and open your mind and see what the effects of your actions are on others...otherwise your screen name needs to change to something more in line with your thinking...like One Way, Semper Me, Diode or something of the like.
