They used to hire DEC's because of all of the "interns" (PFT) in the right seat who are unable to upgrade...CAT is a ****hole....search some of the other sites and you'll get the opinions of guys who have been there....FR8er...bill is right...don't get caught up in this kind of outfit...

the last time i PFT'd was when nobody knew what it was all about; circa 1979 i paid for the twin otter ground school you had to have to get hired by golden west airlines. and i never got hired there.

the type rating for WN is more simple: no, because i'm too cheap to pay for something my employer should provide me.

Don't do it, CAT is going to be in trouble by the end of the year when the Dayton flying is taken over by UPS.

CAT is going through hell right know and they dont even have enough pilots right know I talked to a pilot for them and he is working 2 weeks straight with barley any sleep, and paying all that money for a intership in a 727 it is not worth it find another way to build time get your FE rating if you dont have it and apply at fedex or ups.

CAT is not obligated to repay them. It is between the pay to play pilot and Sim Center.

You're wrong and you can't really comment unless you are on the property. They have an ample supply of pilots. Mgt is limiting these airman to 60 hours per month. Those who chose to stay out beyond their normal time can do so.

Because, and as long as I gather you have been in this industry you would already know, there will always be somebody to sign up for it. Doesn't matter if it's a Beech 1900, a 727, or a 737.
