If you were in the May 12 '86 class I was in there with you. If I'm correct I know whichever incarnation of ABX gets you they'll be fortunate.

Hey l8fr82hub...

I read this thread and have a question. I was assigned a March 10th class date for ATI. I gave my two weeks notice at current job and was ready to leave, but never received any info. I called and they had pushed class to the 17th. Is it normal for ATI to delay a class?

I was in the Nov 86 class. You must be a 767 Capt by now! JP

Not that I'm aware of, but once you are on the line the company provides very little information about new hires and their training dates.

They said there were not enough hired applicants for the 10th to run a class. How many do they need? Thanks!

I don't know what the minimum class size is. The last class had six in it.

Thanks. Hope it's not pushed back any further. Any heads up on what to study? Boeing's website has some info on all DC8 models, but unsure of what F.O.s need to know.

Sometimes people accept job offers and then change their minds close to the class date for various reasons. Not necessarily the case here, just a possibility.

LJ31,

My class (Jan 21- Feb 25) was pushed back a week as well...I think just for scheduling glitches, etc. JP is right in that it could be a delay in order to get some more new hires in the class.

As far as studying goes, they should send you a disk with the COM and AOM on it. I would suggest concentrating on the limitations and the flight maneuvers sections. Once the CPTs are over, the sims move along pretty quickly so you really need to know your way through the procedures, calls, etc.

That begs a question. What's that DC-8 like with two engines out on one side? (in the sim, I mean;-) Being a "Douglass Cable Dash 8", I gather it could be a handful?...JP
