Default UPS - internal employee app process

Is there anyone out there that is familiar with the internal employee application process? I’m going on 17 years at UPS and have finally met the minimums to fly for our company! I tried applying online last fall but the system recognized me as an internal employee and wouldn't let me complete the application.

Also - there aren't any UPS pilots in my reserve unit but I did fly with a brown guy in the desert about 4 years ago who told me to contact him when I'm ready to put my app in. However, his email address changed since I last talked to him so can someone look him up on the company global? PM me if you're willing to help and I'll provide his name.

I realize we are not hiring right now but I want to have my ducks in a row when the window opens again. This has been a goal of mine since starting at UPS and I want to make sure I don't mess up the opportunity. Thanks to anyone that can give me some advice!

You need to be a member of APC for at least one week and have a minimum of 10 posts to enable the PM feature.

If you have a good track record in your previous job, you will be first in line when hiring starts. Make sure you old supervisor contacts HR.

Check the military forum for suggestions on military networking (just edited an exhaustive post). Disregard if you're not AF.

Good luck

He's in the guard so he doesn't show up on my global. I'm going to be at a ANG base next week so maybe I'll hijack a computer and look him up from there!
