FedEx First Yr Pay

FedEx First Yr Pay
Hello all,
This is my first post and I couldnt find this question in the archives so forgive me if this is a repeat question...
Can any FedEx pilots weigh in on what one can expect for first year pay at Fed. I saw the pay charts and hourly guarantee per month. It looks like that would come to about $50k a year before taxes. Is that about right and is it easy to make more money by flying more? Also how much does Fed pay while you are in training. I'm a military guy and would probably be taking a pay cut the first (maybe 2nd) year and so i'm trying to get a could idea of what one can expect the first year
Thanks for any responses....

TipTip,
No hotel in training I'm not sure about the pay while in the school house. Read other threads concerning getting in at Fedex. These days you need more than "a friend" to get in the door. Good luck!!

Koz is right, but I got back pay at first year pay rate for IOE time after I was all checked out.
You don't get a hotel since it is Fedex's position that MEM is your base (most likely anyway). Crash pads are numerous, cheap, and nice.

You got back pay?? Well, hell, don't remember that...anyone else get back pay? I could be wrong, but my short long-term memory remembers training was training...all at $2000/month, including IOE. Maybe I need to go back to the company and ask for my IOE back pay ...
Yes, you'll be taking a large pay cut the first year...if you're still sitting on the panel, the second year is still a little less than what you made before separation/retirement, but it's much better than 1st year pay.
Extra flying is pretty rare...don't count on trying to make more money...especially if you are a commuter. If you need more money, stay in the reserves/guard or find an off-time part-time job.
Good luck!
