I am the Captain that got 107/8.I DID NOT REQUEST IT.I guess I have no choice since it is a line check.

Yes you do have a choice, have you talked to Contract Enforcement ? They can't assign you a DP for a line check, unless it is done via a reserve assignment, period. Please call them ASAP.

just looked at your schedule, looks like all R days, but they still can't assign you a reserve trip outside of the advanced reserve rules, call enforcement.:)

I think that they can for a checkride. The 7 day limit refers to assigning a trip greater than 50 hrs tafb in advance.

Let's get back on track here....about the FO who received trip 139.

Has anyone called/emailed this guy to find out if he picked it up or if it was assigned incorrectly?

actually they can't assign it per the advanced reserve assignment process...but according to higher authority they CAN per section 25.G, it falls under the vague umbrella of "training assignments" for priority in use of Open Time. Bottom line, they can do it.:mad:

Emails have been sent. Two of the three have responded. It sounds like they requested the trips and are trying to get out of them.

Same old song and dance.

got it, just clarifying that the can't use the FAR, High Mins, consolidation etc. section in advanced reserve assignment language. Contract enforcement says they can't advance reserve assign for a line check under this section, but are then using 25.G as their out. I know it does not make a difference in the end, either way it is needs to be fixed next in the future.

wasn't this obvious when the only one who chimed in to defend himself right away was the Captain who got one for a line check on reserve?

by the way.....trip #139/13 Mar is truly heinous!! have you guys looked at it?? yikes!!

12 day trip

6 nights of Subic hub turns - although 2 nights have a few hours in the Legenda - yay!!

1 NRT turn w/5 hours in the hotel in between

3 - 12+ hour crew duty days

minimum crew rests throughout - multiple body clock swaps - day to night and back

finally on the last leg back to ANC - an RFO for another nearly 12 hour day

judgement - U - for "requesting" this trip!!

now THESE are the kind of trips those over 60 guys coming back must just "love to fly" :rolleyes:
