Default FedEx CIA Question

Fellow FedExers...I have CIA this month and want to know how carry-over applies to my total hours. I have 10 hours to make up with a maximum allowed of 16 hours. If there is a c/o trip with 3 hours in the current month and 13 in the next, does this wipe me out or does only the 3 hours count against my 16 maximum hour total? Thanks in advance...Call me frustrated trying to interpret the contract which I have read several times!

When you pick up a trip the entire value of the trip is taken out of whatever makeup bank you use. My understanding is, in your example, your 16 hrs would be gone by getting that trip.

What he said.

I thought we were leveled for a CIA trip when you have a reserve line, didn't work for me this month. I couldn't find any reference in the contract.

FWIW. I have never had CIA trips count towards leveling. Just carryover.

If on reserve, the CIA trip does count towards leveling after it has been flown. If you trade your original CIA trip with another trip from open time...no leveling.

Did you call Crew Skeds and ask them what happened? Be interested to know the outcome.

This has been thrown around for the past 6 months or so and I'm not sure when you had it but you should have been leveled for it.
