Default FDX SIG throws in the towel!

"As of today, we are no longer disputing the April bidpack trips involving the CDG-MAN-MEM and CDG-STN-MEM sequences for the time being. You may check the April SIG notes for the numbers.

These disputes were not particularly well supported by the crew force, and we are not disputing them in May, so the thought is that for any folks that might desire the few trips involving this sequence left in April Open Time (3 in the FO seat as of this writing), we would remove any perceived impediment to them picking it up. This is unusual, as normally a pairing disputed for the month always remains in dispute, regardless of revisions or change."

Looks like even the SIG knows that the DP process is broken. Too bad our crew force can't support itself.

Pretty sad.

What's sad is your defeatist attitude.

Hey - he put FDX at the beginning of the thread. You are not meant to know these secret codes we use

How, exactly, do you peg me for defeatist?

If anything, I am a realist.

I don't fly DPs. I support the SIG. I have read all the excuses on here about how all these "good guys" are "accidentally" picking up DPs. I hear guys making excuses on the crew bus how they messed up and "accidentally" picked up a DP and couldn't get rid of it, and they would never do it again.

The process is not being supported by the crewforce. It is very unfortunate and sad. The SIG has recognized the disconnect between their idea of an onerous pairing and that of the crewforce. I merely pointed out that fact with the script from the SIG email explaining the situation.

The DP process IS not working. The SIG is taking a step back to regroup and hopefully will come back with a new perspective on some of these pairings so they can gain the support of the crew force.

What is pathetic is the MEM pukes who pick these up and don't get called on it. That is the problem. We bring it upon ourselves. The SIG sits back and watches these dp's getting picked up like hot cakes in MEM and throws up their hands. Don't blame them, blame yourselves (MEM) for not calling these clowns who fly dp's and giving them hell like we do in ANC and SFS.

Wow, I am really being misunderstood I guess.

I AM NOT BLAMING THE SIG!

The crewforce has not supported them, and that IS SAD!

I give the SIG credit for taking a step back to regroup and figure out a game plan.

I don't fly DPs, I fully support and thank the SIG and their work.

I'm sorry.

I too give the SIG credit.

When I see the MEM "Friends of the DP" crowd picking them up like hot cakes it makes me want to bid ANC.

From the looks of it I'll get a chance in '10 or so. So at least I've got that going for me.
