Ever since we started flying SIBA in Europe, the bean counters have been trying to find a way to open a foreign domicile to cut costs and every time they did the math, they said, "I guess those first class DH tickets aren't so expensive after all". That was until they sold us the FDA.........on the cheap. Did you notice the ceasing of the backslapping coming from both sides when the FO's wisely passed on the bid? I guess hiring into the right seat and all the attendant issues we now face in getting Paris up and running has forced management to reconsider. Apparently we got too close to that magic number again, where once again...you can hear them saying......."I guess those first class DH tickets.....?
FO's.....you did good. Many saw this one coming.

Of course we all will "be suprised on how senior these FDA's will go, especially in HKG." Slightly paraphrased, but the general message that was put out about 6 months ago.

Typically, I discard information that is proven false and use other data to make my decision. Use your best judgment.
BTW, since we are all off probation can we now vote on the improved LOA coming down? The vote might be a little closer if it isn't fixed yet. I heard 2700/month is the "final offer".

Aint gonna happen. You will see the junior guys killing their mothers to get to HKG instead of being excessed back to a junior seat. Again, keep that grain of salt handy, but I think the company just solved their own problem on HKG.......

You are right again! They figured out the perfect solution. Now they have a bunch of desperate guys looking for a job.

Oh, really? Has the cost of living in HKG gone down drastically in the past week? If not, I don't see how it pencils out for most people to go there.
