Default Criticism of FE - FDX NC

not really. just a catchy title.

When FE was the hotel/catering guy, he put a blurb in the monthly SIG notes (and talked openly about) hotel points being part of future Fedex hotel contracts. Some enterprising person can find the month and text of exactly what was written.

In essence though, I seem to remember it saying not to try getting points until they came back to us with a list of the hotels that would be offering them.

So what happened? It was at least a year ago wasn't it? Is this a failed promise? Did the idea fall through? I heard FE talking about how the company had bought off on the idea.

Anyone have an update that I seem to have missed??

I thought the same thing. I have tried to use my cards all over the place. No luck. I, too, would like to know.

You have to be 53 or older at DOS to get the points.

Just kidding, I have had some success at some domestic hotels. MDT and CAE for example.

I have had no luck anywhere. I'd like to know - perhaps time to shoot a note to my Onion rep (as I peel the layers away, it just makes me cry...)

It's been my experience that hotels will give you points on the stuff you charge to your room (movies, food, etc).

I am not talking about just on the stuff you charge, and when FE talked about it -- he didn't mean that either. When I read the SIG notes, I remember it basically saying to hold on and wait till they got back to us. I think they even mentioned not to go around trying your card everywhere until notified.

The deal is COMMUNICATION. Why is there no follow-up info on the progress? Sometimes you need to say something as simple as "no news"-----------

I don't want to sound petty, but hotel points would be a BIG score for the Hotel Committee. Bravo for FE if it comes to fruition. They offered it up, so where is it?

Hey, I have an idea. Why don't you just email FE and ask him. He won't bite.

It is more fun to make fun of somebody on a message board. I do remember the hotel point issue being brought up. What did happen to it? On the flip side what about NWA miles now that they are Delta? Delta does not allow miles so I guess we are SOL in the future.

I am not making fun of anyone.

Actually, I would gladly make fun of Foxhunter.
