Default FDX Posting Settlement

I haven't been contacted yet from the settlement. Not worried about it, I will either get my 07-03 posting or I will get one on this bid. But what are they telling people in the E Mails? I complied with the FCIF and sent off my E Mail and am waiting for a response.

As an aside, hope one if the union guys can tell me why they knew of problems with the bid but didn't bother sharing what they were planning. I know ALPA knows best and we rubes should just color between the lines; but the best I can figure is my rights to bid a bus and get passover as soon as someone checks out in the right seat of a boeing where traded away for some unknown gain.

You are being contacted because you had a crew position award from
Posting 07-03 or 08-01 canceled. Per the settlement agreement between
the Company and ALPA dated Monday, May 12, 2008 you have the ability to
exercise your seniority for a crew position that was on your standing
bid that was awarded to a junior pilot on the same or subsequent posting
(regardless of whether the junior pilot was awarded the crew position as
a primary, secondary or excess award/assignment).

Your choices are:
1. */*
2. Remain in your current seat position

Training dates for the crew position that you select will be determined
after everybody has responded but could start as early as July.

Please make sure that your standing bid reflects this choice unless you
wish to bid another seat on Posting 08-02.

We request that you respond to this email by Tuesday, May 20 so that we
will have you in the correct seat position for the next practice bid.

Please hit reply all when you respond to the email.

Thanks,
M P

if you sent your email to the guy at the bottom of the FCIF, and he hasn't gotten back to you, that might mean you fall into the following scenario:

".....If you have no option other than your previous selection, you will not receive an email......"

I sent MP an email the other day, and he replied back with the exact same email as posted above by BonesF15....

MP also said I was "on the list" to get the email, and they had just accidentally "skipped" sending it to me.

So.....if you don't fall in the "no option other than your previous selection" category, then I'd email MP again and just ask him what's up?
