Default Mil Leave at ATI

Anyone out there from ATI have a feeling for how mil leave works with the schedule, I think open reserve, they would just schedule around you. Just curious how mil leave is received by the company at a smaller group.

I've never heard of anyone having a problem. Just let Al know in advance and if you're on open reserve he'll schedule around your reserve stuff. Also, if you have any other important events let him know as far in advance as possible and he'll try to work with you. You'll also have to follow up with the lower-level schedulers 'cause Al sometimes forgets to tell them.

I am curious how open reserve works with mil leave. If I mil leave a 4 day period, do I still get 12 days off in theory, or should I expect that those 4 days will be included in my 12 days off, and thus still do 16 days on the road. I am guessing if I hold a line and have mil leave that conflicts the trip cancels and I get that trip hours less from my guarantee.

Does this check?

I would guess that your mil leave would be counted as your days off. As for your second question- I don't know. You'll have to ask Al how that works.

On open reserve that certainly is a possibility.
